More Bars & Breweries in St. Albans

Peahen Pub
A McMullen pub since 1936, the Peahen was reborn in 2005, with a further refresh in 2024. Justly famous for great service, delicious freshly prepared food and amazing events. Children and families welcome until 6pm, over 18’s only thereafter. Designed for grown-ups who love to relax and unwind in comfortable, stylish surroundings while taking advantage of full table service which, for food and drinks alike, is available all day, every day. Lunch or dinner; business or pleasure, there’s always something that fits the bill – fresh seasonal food, packed full of mouth watering light bites and hearty meals.
The White Swan Pub
Traditional city centre pub, excellent beers, wines & cocktails. Late Licence DJ’s, Live Music & Sport Roof top garden
Waterend Barn Pub
The pub is open for breakfast until 12 noon and offers free refills (all day every day) on tea and Lavazza coffee. For lunch and dinner, there are lighter bites, with deli deal options and vegetarian choices, gourmet burgers and freshly made pizzas. Wetherspoon has championed a wide range of drinks, including real ales, craft beers, gins and soft drinks. Table service is available via the Wetherspoon app, using our unlimited free Wi-Fi. This pub has step-free access.
The Goat Inn Pub
Beautifully authentic 15th century coaching inn. Selling fine wines, a large array of quality beers, lagers and spirits. We are Cask Marque accredited for our real ales. We have bean to cup delicious coffee, some nice cocktails and an extensive gin, rum and whiskey menu. For entertainment we have a quiz night every Sunday evening from 7.30. We have a different very good live band on the first Saturday of every month. We try to show most live sporting events on our 8 high definition screens, 2 of which are in our large and wonderful hidden garden at the end of our old carriageway. There's a lot more space inside than you could imagine and it makes a great venue for parties and celebrations of all sorts.
Farriers Arms Pub
32-34 Lower Dagnall St
Saint and Sinner Pub
Saint & Sinner, a bespoke, vibrant pub for St Albans. Diverse, fun, informal. Built in the 1760’s, previously described as a “country house in town”, the Saint & Sinner resides in the grade II listed, former Nationwide Building Society. Now reimagined as the ultimate destination venue, with character in abundance, perfect at any time. We create experiences around drink and food – craft beers, fresh cocktails, brunch favourites, lunch classics, artisan pizza and on Sundays we roast! Whether you’re relaxing on the outdoor terrace, having a get together, meeting in one of our private spaces or just sat watching the world go by from our cocktail bar ~ we believe you’ll always feel at home.
The Verulam Pub
An independent free house in the heart of St Albans. Hosting 20 keg taps & 8 cask lines. Super dog friendly!
The St Albans Beer & Ale Festival Pub
